As far as arthritis in cats is concerned, not saying not they do some cats do get become overweight as they get older. But not the same way that some dogs become massively overweight, when they get older and more inactive, and eating high carbohydrate, um commercial dog foods that encourage lots of insulin to be produced. And we know insulin is the fat storage hormone. And, so the best way to reduce weight in dogs and cats is to make sure they're on a low carb diet. So, not not too much in the way of cereal grain based foods, but a diet that is high in meat and fish and shellfish.
