An interesting story about how it was discovered that, um New Zealand green mussel does, actually have some therapeutic value as a superfood for, um initially it was for humans with arthritis. And the New Zealand Maori, were people that the ones that lived along the coastline, were shown to have less arthritis in their old age than those that lived in away from the coastline. And when epidemiologists got to look at why this was happening, they found out that the coastal maoris were eating shellfish, which grows, which they harvested off the rocks. And they used to break it open and then suck it, so they were eating suck it out of the the shell. So it was they were eating it raw and that ensures that, if you eat it raw that ensures that you are getting no damage to the active constituents when it gets converted into a powder. Then there is the always the chance that the during the process of converting it into a powder, that it's going to become damaged by the the process, uh through which it is converted into a powder. So Joint Rejuvenate is a bit different in that it remain retain almost all of its biological activity, because the process by which it's made, is one in which there is, um an almost totally an absence of heat, which is the enemy of um a green mussel,- the green mussels therapeutic effect. So Joint Rejuvenate, a good example of a brand of New Zealand greenlit mussel that is made in a manner that allows it to retain its therapeutic value.
